Getting around the Homepass new app

This article walks you through the four main areas of the Homepass new app: Home, Places, Contacts and Settings. Each one is a tab in the bar at the bottom of the screen and is always one tap away.

Important points

  • The bottom bar has four tabs: Home, Places, Contacts and Settings. The highlighted tab is the one you are on.

  • View all next to a section heading opens the full list for that section.

  • The arrow in the top left of a screen takes you back one step.

Simplified Process

  • Home: Home tab -> Up next and Activity -> View all for the full list

  • Places: Places tab -> My Places or Other places -> tap a place

  • Contacts: Contacts tab -> Search by contact or place -> tap a contact

  • Settings: Settings tab -> Edit to open your profile

In-depth Steps

1. Home

Home shows what is coming up and what has happened recently.

  1. Tap Home in the bottom bar.

  2. Up next shows your upcoming events (open for inspections) on your places. Tap View all for the full list.

  3. Activity lists recent activity on your places, such as check-ins and notes, grouped by day. Tap View all for the full list.

  4. Tap the initials in the top right to open your profile.

When you have no upcoming events or recent activity, Home shows No upcoming events and No activities. A message at the top of Home tells you when you have been added to a team; tap View to see that team's places.

2. Places

Places is where your listings live.

  1. Tap Places in the bottom bar.

  2. My Places lists the places you are a member of. Other places lists the rest of your team's places.

  3. Use the search box at the top to find a place by address, or tap View all to open the full list.

  4. Tap a place to open it.

3. Contacts

Contacts is your list of people and their check-ins, searchable by name.

  1. Tap Contacts in the bottom bar.

  2. Type the contact's name in Search by contact or place to find someone. Each contact shows their most recent place and activity.

  3. Tap a contact to open their profile.

4. Settings

Settings holds your profile, your teams, notifications and app options.

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom bar.

  2. Your name, mobile and email are at the top. Tap Edit next to your name to open your profile.

  3. Business teams lists the teams you belong to. Tap + Join team to find another.

  4. Further down are Notifications, Region, Offline sync, Terms, Privacy and Help & feedback.
