This article is for the Homepass new app. If you are still using the Homepass Legacy app, see the Homepass Legacy app articles instead.
This article shows you how to find a place in the Homepass new app by searching and filtering, and what to do when a place you need is not in your list.
Important points
My Places are the places you are a member of. Other places are your team's other places.
Search matches on address. Suggestions appear as you type.
Filters combine: places, commercial or residential, sales or rentals, and team. Active filters show as chips you can remove one at a time.
If you are not a member of a place, you can Request to join it.
Simplified Process
Search: Places -> What place do you want to find? -> type the address -> tap a suggestion
Filter: Places -> close any search -> filter icon -> tick what you want -> Apply filters
Join a place: Open the place -> Request to join
In-depth Steps
1. Search for a place
Tap Places in the bottom bar.
Tap What place do you want to find? and start typing the address.
Tap a suggestion, or keep typing to narrow the list.
2. Filter the list
Tap the filter icon to the right of the search box. If you are searching, an X shows in place of the filter icon. Tap the X to close the search, then tap the filter icon.
Tick what you want to see: My places or Other places; Commercial or Residential, each as Sales or Rentals; and one or more Teams.
Tap Apply filters. Your choices appear as chips above the list. Tap the cross on a chip to remove that filter.
On the search screen you can also tap All, Commercial or Residential to switch quickly.
3. Join a place you are not a member of
Open the place from Other places or from search.
If you see Get access to more information, tap Request to join. A member of the place or your office's Homepass administrator approves or denies the request.
Whether you can join, need to request, or cannot see a place at all depends on its visibility (Open, Private or Secret). See section 5 of Manage a place: documents, links, members and settings.
